FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Award is thrilled to have once again teamed up with Wish of a Lifetime from AARP for the 11th annual Cupid Crew campaign. This nationwide effort continues to bring together schools and volunteers of all ages to spread love and connection to older adults in communities across the country.
The Cupid Crew Campaign remains a pivotal effort to combat loneliness and nurture intergenerational bonds, providing youth with the opportunity to engage meaningfully in their communities and uplift the spirits of older adults. This year, we proudly highlight the remarkable efforts of thousands of Congressional Award youth participants who have embraced the Valentine’s Day spirit by sending heartfelt cards to senior homes across the nation.
“The Congressional Award is proud to continue our collaboration with Wish of a Lifetime from AARP for the 11th annual Cupid Crew campaign,” said Erica Heyse, National Director at The Congressional Award. “This campaign provides an invaluable opportunity for our youth participants to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults at risk for isolation. We encourage everyone to get involved and share love and joy this Valentine’s Day through volunteering, sending heartfelt messages, or simply spending time with older adults in their community.”
