Joyce Rogers
Joyce Rogers is a senior executive with legal, policy, government affairs, and political experience. Joyce is the Senior Vice President of Government and External Relations for AmeriHealth Caritas. Prior to working at AmeriHealth Caritas, she was Vice President of US Policy and Public Affairs at Pfizer. Before Pfizer, Joyce led Advocate Aurora Health’s federal, state and local advocacy work as the Chief Government Affairs Officer. Before joining AAH, Joyce served as AARP’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.
Joyce was a partner at the law firm of Williams & Jensen, PLLC and represented Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, non-profit organizations, and small businesses. Before Williams & Jensen, she was an associate at the law firm, Verner Liipfert Bernhard McPherson and Hand.
Early in her career, Joyce was on the legislative staff for two Members of Congress, including Congressman Steny Hoyer. A native Washingtonian, she served a two-year elected term as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in the District of Columbia. Throughout her career, she has worked on presidential, gubernatorial, congressional, and local campaigns.
Joyce also serves on the boards for the Franklin Center for Global Policy Exchange and the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
Joyce received her B.A. from Williams College and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She is also a member of the State of Maryland Bar. Joyce and her husband, George Atuobi, live in Alexandria, Virginia, and have a blended family of four children.
