Voluntary Public Service:
Scholars and Athletes Serving Others (SASO) was a vital part of my community engagement while in the Congressional Award program. Leading as the President of the SASO Student Advisory Council, I’ve aimed to in still responsibility and service among my peers. Additionally, as the Administrative Director of Dragons Give Back, a school club, I focus on organizing charity events that actively involve students in giving back to our community.
Personal Development:
Learning to drive and building my computer was pivotal to my growth. Mastering driving was a step toward independence, while assembling a computer taught me problem-solving and patience through research and hands-on experience.
Physical Fitness:
For my Physical Fitness, I swam on my school’s swim and water polo teams. This year our water polo team was ranked #1 nationally on Max Preps for 2 months. I additionally play on my club water polo team North Texas Thunder Water Polo. My team has attended the USA Water Polo National Junior Olympics for the past 3 years and placed 3rd in the 18 U division this summer.
Expedition/Exploration:
For my Expedition/Exploration I virtually toured Australian culture by immersing my self in documentaries, national park tours, and even attempting to recreate authentic Australian dishes like lamingtons at home. This experience broadened my global understanding and appreciation.
Current Ambitions:
My immediate goals are completing high school and pursuing higher education in astronautical or aeronautical engineering. Beyond academics, continuing my involvement in community service remains a core part of my journey.
Motivation:
I am motivated by my friends and teammates to be the best I can be. My biggest motivation lies in the thrill of imagining what lies ahead and the boundless opportunities waiting to be explored. I’m drawn to the vast potential for innovation, particularly in the uncharted territories of space. The thought of being part of a field where groundbreaking advancements are yet to be made excites me. I want to be in the mix, pushing limits, and leaving my mark in the world of space exploration and engineering.
