Steve Hartell
Steve Hartell is Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon, leading the Congressional Affairs team. Before joining Amazon, Steve worked in similar positions at Cisco Systems, Inc. and EMC Corporation. Prior to joining the private sector, Steve worked for Senator Ernest F. Hollings (D-SC) and the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Steve served on Board of the Hollings Center for International Dialogue, a nonprofit, non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering dialogue between the United States and countries with predominantly Muslim populations in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and Europe.
Steve also serves on the Board of Good Shepherd Housing in Northern Virginia; and the Board of the Franklin Center for Global Policy Exchange. Steve received his BA from the University of South Carolina and his MA from George Washington University.
Steve, his wife Holly, and three daughters live in Alexandria, VA.
