2010 Charity Poker Event - October 6, 2010

On Wednesday, October 6, 2010, the Congressional Award Foundation will hold its 5th Annual Chiefs of Staff Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament at the Capitol Hill Hyatt in Washington, DC.  

Each year Members of Congress and Chiefs of Staff participate in the tournament to help raise awareness of their own charitable program for youth.  The Congressional Award program is dedicated to promoting volunteerism, personal development, physical fitness and exploration among America’s youth aged 14-23.  It has helped thousands of young people realize their own potential and develop a lifetime commitment to community service and volunteerism. 

The event will begin with registration at 5:30 p.m. followed by a tutorial at 6:00 p.m.  The tournament will commence at 6:30 p.m.  Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.  Sponsorships and individual playing slots are available.  The tournament will sell-out so please RSVP early if you are interested.  For more information, do not hesitate to contact the National Office at (202) 226-0130.
