2010 Golf Classic
The 16th Annual Congressional Award Golf Classic on April 26, 2010, was a huge success with over 110 golfers on hand at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia for a beautiful day on the links. The Annual Event provides significant funding to Congress’ program for Youth with the support of sponsors including Title Sponsor, Alpha Natural Resources.

Honorary Congressional Co-Chair Senator Mike Enzi (WY) joined colleagues from the Hill including Representatives Joe Baca (CA43), Wm. Lacy Clay (MO01), Jason Chaffetz (UT03), Gene Green (TX29), Tom Latham (IA04) , Mike McIntyre (NC07) Solomon Ortiz (TX27), Silvestre Reyes (TX16), Laura Richardson (CA37) and John Yarmuth (KY03) for the event. Members and friends of the Foundation were also joined by Celebrity Guests including Roger Clemens, Mark Alarie, Chris Doleman, Charles Oakley, Brig Owens and Doc Walker. A number of Chiefs of Staff and Congressional Staffers were also on hand to play 18 Holes for charity. Golfers enjoyed a breakfast sponsored by Edward Jonesbefore they hit the greens. Congressional Award Board of Directors Golf Co-Chairman David Falk presented the top three foursomes with trophies as well as the closest-to-the-pin and longest drive prizes.
