Molly Ryan

Molly Ryan is the Head of Government Affairs and Advocacy at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. a subsidiary company of Otsuka Holdings Co., Ltd.

She is responsible for the Federal, State, and Advocacy Government Relations department and leads the organizations’ strategies to increase emphasis around disease awareness, treatment options, and access to therapies.

Prior to joining Otsuka in 2013, Molly worked at Baxter Health Care Corporation from 2001 to 2012 and developed the organization’s engagement with the Congressional Tri-Caucus to address health disparities.  Her start in Washington, DC begun serving on several campaigns in both House and Senate.

Earlier, Molly was an account executive at 101.9 Metro FM a Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) radio station and was the morning anchor for the Morning Express.  With 3 million listeners daily, Molly established her presence on radio as one of the leading broadcasters in the country.

Molly is an advocate of grooming the next generation of women leaders. She sits on the board of Women In International Trade (WIIT) Trust whose mission is to develop trade education modules for girls in high school students and support graduate /undergraduate women studying international trade and also serves on the board of the California State Society.

As a first generation American, Molly’s passion goes beyond policy and politics.  She enjoys entertaining and cooking Kenyan food for her guests. Molly is married with two children and is a graduate of both University of Nairobi and University of Maryland.
