Daniel B. Scherder is the President of Scherder and Associates a government relation consulting firms in Washington, DC and is Acting Chief Financial Officer for Compressus Inc. He is a CPA and has a BS in Accounting from the University of Missouri. He has over thirty years of business, finance and government relations experience.
Before joining Scherder and Associates, he was a Senior Vice President at the R. Duffy Wall and Associates Government Relations Consulting firm from 1994 – 2000. Prior to his service at R. Duffy Wall, he ran the Washington office of Peabody Energy Company, where he was responsible for all federal legislative, executive, and regulatory liaison activities. During his career at Peabody, he also held numerous other management positions, including CFO of Eastern Associated Coal Corp., and VP of Taxes and Financial Support for Peabody Holding Company and Controller of Eastern Division. Previously, he was a manager for Price Waterhouse and Co. in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Scherder currently
serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Congressional Awards
Foundation, the University of Missouri Management Advisory Board and is a member
of the Davenport Society and Jefferson Club at the University of Missouri. He
serves on the Council of Legal Affairs Advisors, serves on numerous industry
committees and has been a featured speaker and panelist on government affairs
issues.
